Muri / A slice of space 004 || Nandi by Takshni

Nandi is a ubiquitous motif, pan India, that has made its gradual journey from the temples to being a striking decor element in home.

I found this one Takshni very unique. Look at the long, graceful horns. There is so much strength and motion in them. It also has quite an unusual form and proportions. It’s a very elongated torso with an almost swish in its tail - makes you want to take a good, second look at this piece. The dull, earthy lustre of Brass gives it a natural elegance.

It’s a sizable piece with these dimensions - 17H X 37.5L X 13W (inch) | 43.18H X 95.25L X 33.02W (cm).

Price is available only on enquiry.

I’d place it over a low table like this in the living space, where it can be a conversation starter. Or maybe in the foyer.

For those of you who believe in Vastu and the flow of energy, place the sculpture in the south/south-west area of the house facing the north. It is supposed to bring financial stability and protection.
